Web Developer (Junior / mid-level)

Who we are

Byteful is a young web agency founded in 2016 and based in central Zürich. We work on a wide variety of client projects, from eCommerce to iOT applications, as well as an ongoing internal eCommerce project. Our small team of 3 (one senior developer, one junior developer and one UX/Interaction designer) is now looking for reinforcement!

Who we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have a full-stack profile with a main focus in back-end.

Your responsibilities:

  • Development of web applications with Python, Django and Oscar (eCommerce) and implement the necessary HTML / CSS

  • Development of rest api with Django REST framework
  • Set up and configure server environments (DevOps with Heroku or Divio)

  • Understand business requirements and provide suggestions as well as time estimates 
  • Research and implement new technologies and solutions

Your skills and profile:

  • Experience with Python / Django

  • Experience with Javascript: you’ve already used this skill for a client project or market-ready product. You’ve tried several frameworks or libraries like React, Vue.js, Ember, Angular or similar.

  • HTML / SASS / CSS: you know the basics and can apply them within a professional project

  • You are eager to learn about new technologies and exchange with others in the team

  • You are able to work independently, plan your tasks and establish priorities

  • You speak either English or German

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Oscar (e-Commerce)
  • Experience with Heroku
  • You have an interest in user experience and visual design
